We all enjoyed seeing the local family on Monday evening and our day was brightened by seeing the grand-babies so I thought yours might be too! Enjoy these charming pictures!

Up In Smoke!

This past Wednesday evening, as we were ministering at a church in Knoxville, TN, there was much activity going on back home on the farm. We have a barn that was filled with about 140 round and big square bales of hay and many memories of tag on the bales throughout the years. Well, if you're reading thus far you have probably guessed what happened! A round bale started on fire, causing the whole barn to be burned along with the rest of the bales.
We are very thankful for the following:
1. That the wind was moving the smoke and fire away from our other buildings.
2. That the fire didn't happen during the night when there would have been less chance of someone seeing and reporting it.
3. For the local volunteer fire departments (all six of them) that came to the rescue quickly.
4. That no one got hurt!
Three kind neighbors helped to move the hay out of the barn.

Happy Birthday Wallace+Jubilee!!

Last Monday, all the local family got together for a happy little party for the Jubilee and Wallace! They are turning two this week, but it worked out best to do a party early. Here's a few pics of the fun evening!
The birthday littles!
The adorable clown cake that Mom made!
We all convened outside for gifts and finished the evening out with playtime with the kiddos, fellowship, and games!

-Summer Tour Part 1-

We headed out on the 12th of July for a three week tour. We noticed that people were very glad to have something to come to after being cooped up for three months! We had a variety of singing events in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. The following pictures include a little bit of what life on the road looks like!

For this NY concert, we were very blessed with a full tent!
Early on on the trip we enjoyed a few family hikes together. We are cherishing all the family times!
Lunch date before an evening concert.
Life on the road includes music practice,
School,
and study for the National Bible Bee!
This concert took place on a beautiful open field. It was truly a lovely view!
While in NY, we spent a few days at a family reunion. The time was filled with games, conversations, and yes, eating!
We are a family of veggie lovers!
One day, the siblings and Grandma went to Grandpa's graveside to sing and relive memories together.
Sixty people came for the reunion, but that was only half of the relatives! We are a growing family with the great-grand kids about to exceed the number of grandchildren!
Grandma sharing memories at the reunion.
Liz with her three '03 cousins!
On Sunday morning, Denver did a children's class for all the older great-grandkids. He did a great job planning a treasure hunt and giving out cookies for a reward!
After the reunion, we spent a few quality days with our Grandma and cousins in NY before heading out for concerts again. In this picture, Rebecca is showing Grandma her cross-stitch.
Rook with cousin Thomas!
Cake baking with cousin Sarah Liz.
One evening while we were at Grandma's house, some of the local relatives came over for supper, games, and singing.
Helping Grandma with projects.
Not all sisters have brothers who make them flower wreaths!
Mom with her Aunt Liz.
We had an "off" evening in between concerts, so we grabbed some special moments with cousins, and an aunt+uncle!
We were privileged to visit the 18th century home where our ancestor (from our mother's side) Nicolas Stoltzfus first lived. When he left Germany in 1766, he was the first Stoltzfus to come to America. Some say that by now he has close to 1 million descendants. Approximately 80% of the Lancaster Amish are kin to Nicholas Stoltzfus!
The guys enjoyed posing for some pictures before a concert. It's not every day that we get to sing with haybales as decor!
New York beauty!
A run and quality cousin time!
Morning exercise.
A concert in PA!
Ministry isn't always concerts--sometimes it includes receiving and giving encouragement to fellow believers!
Back stage craziness!
We took advantage of fresh strawberries near by!
Sound-check+set-up before an evening concert.
Squeezing in all the quality time with Allison before she gets married!
Music practice!
Studying God's word.
These two were the grocery shoppers for the day and made a party out of it!
