Turning Hearts Recap!

On September 3rd, we hosted the 16th Annual Turning Hearts Celebration at our family farm.
The week before saw us busily preparing.
Before the event, we enjoyed fellowship with friends and the speaker.
We enjoyed getting to know our speaker, Flip Benham.
Carson oversaw the hay rides.
In the afternoon, people enjoyed conversation, football, hay rides, and the Iowa farm.
Flip Benham gave two stirring challenges.
We ended out the evening with a concert.
"And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children
to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." --Malachi 4:6

Salsa!

A few weeks ago, we made salsa.
The Lord blessed us with a bumper crop of tomatoes.
Every team member has their own unique responsibility.

Work Night!

On Monday evening, we had a family work night in preparation for the 16th Annual Turning Hearts Celebration. If you've not yet decided to come, we hope you won't miss this highlight, on Labor Day, September 3! You can learn more about the event here.

Denver, our project manager, delegated specific tasks beforehand, so as to keep our energies
focused on always doing instead of deciding what to do next.

Mitchell and Bryn working on shop windows.
Denver and Hudson are the two most energetic, enthusiastic,
and efficient potato diggers you'll find!
Joshua and Taylor tag-teamed to tackle the project of garden edging.
Rebecca, always diligent.
Allison, cleaning cobwebs in the basement.
Mother and Liz hosted an onion stringing-up party.
Carson and Dad organized the shop work bench.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on Monday, September 3!
