Meet Rebecca!

Meet Rebecca Shania, the baby of the family! Rebecca recently turned ten years old and she reminded us that we now have "no one left in single digits age!" As the caboose, she has a very important place in our family, and she loves her position.

Rebecca is the "little sunshine" of our family. She is probably the most laid-back of our twelve family members, and she dearly loves routine, quiet time, and an organized life. Something most people may not know about Rebecca is that not only is she named after her mother, but also after her grandma Stoltzfus. One of Rebecca's favorite places to be is home, surrounded by her people. She misses the brothers lots since they got married, and loves any chance to see them. Her new sister-in-laws are some of her favorite people ever! Rebecca loves writing notes, whether it be thank you notes, encouragement notes, or "just cause" notes, and we regularly find them around on our pillows, desks, etc. Little people are favorites of hers and she holds babies whenever she has a chance! She also loves to be outdoors as much as possible, and loves picking produce in the gardens, feeding our calves, and riding her bike all over the farm.

Rebecca is a very diligent little scholar and says she enjoys school sometimes. =) She especially has a passion for science and was intrigued with the recent solar eclipse and the opportunity she had to go to Missouri to see it! Music is a very big part of her education as well, and she currently takes piano + violin lessons. She plays violin in our concerts and this year she started with her first piano piece in concerts, a duet with Liz. She qualified for the National Bible Bee again this summer and this fall finds her a busy little bee, as she spends several hours most days memorizing her hundreds of verses for the November competition.

We are so thankful that God gave us Rebecca as the youngest, and we sure love the sweetness she adds to our family!
