While in Arkansas & Kansas.....

We spent a day with the Duggar Family in Arkansas.
Between our 2 families, we have a total of 16 sons!
Mrs. Duggar & baby Josie

Getting to know the Query family and hearing their beautiful orchastra was a treat for all of us!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Kansas we fellowshipped late at night (after our concert) with the Miller & Yoder families.
The next morning....a kind neighbor brought his horse over for the girls to ride
I think they were doing something with guns here.....not surprising. :)
Sibling Cooperation #2
I walked into the schoolroom the other day and this is what I found.
"Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example"
Philippians 3:17
THANK-YOU!!
This post is here to thank each and every one of the dear southern people and churches who were so hospitable and loving to our family during our July tour. We have been blessed abundantly by your servants' hearts! Please know that we are truly grateful for each of you, and that we were greatly encouraged by your kindness.
"May the Lord, mighty God, bless and keep you forever
Grant you peace, perfect peace
Courage in every endeavor
Lift up your eyes and seek His face
And His grace forever
May the Lord, mighty God, bless and keep you forever"
While in Oklahoma......
While singing in Straford, Oklahoma, last week, we were blessed to spend some time with the Burnett Family. Their family is a great inspiration to ours and we were very encouraged by their evident love for the Lord, His Word, and each other. Truly, how great is the joy of a family that is walking in the Truth!
The Burnett twins, Maggie & Corinna, won the hearts of our little ones right away with their many stories.
Some of the boys.....enjoying a wonderful meal by Mrs. Burnett.
One of the highlights for the older ones was watching parts of one of their favorite movies, Pendragon, and hearing stories about the different mistakes, details, and odds n' ends that went into making Pendragon. The Burnetts' oldest son, John-Clay, was the 2nd camera-man for Pendragon, so he was able to tell stories from the camera's point of view! We have been very challenged and inspired by the movie, Pendragon, and it was a treat to hear about the behind-the-scenes work that went into making it a powerful and professional film!
Prayer for Our Leaders
The Bible gives us an excellent description of what kind of leaders this country desperately needs:  "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;  and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:"
Exodus 18:21
Let's use this as a guide to pray for our future leaders.
Time w/ Cousins
Last week we were very blessed to spend 2 days with Dad's oldest sister, Mary, & her family in MO. We had a wonderful time talking, enjoying Aunt Mary's amazing cooking, taking walks, etc. The little ones loved the many stories read to them by their older cousins. The girls enjoyed an afternoon of thrift store shopping. The boys loved playing legos and learning about Micah's flight games. All in all it was a wonderful visit and we can't wait til next time!
We love you, Schrocks!!
Time in Michigan
Our family shared music during the day at the Virgil & Dawn Stutzman's Bakery Customer Appreciation Event. We spent the evening at the Stutzman's lovely campsite and were blessed by the fellowship with their family and the Brubaker family.
Summer Flowers
One of the joys of summer for Allison and Elizabeth is cutting and arranging a fresh bouquet of flowers.
"The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;"  Song of Solomon 2:12
