The Bontrager Children say hello to ya'll from Providence Spring in Andersonville, GA!
"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:15-17
This is the verse that God has given to Marlin for our family for this year. We believe that we are living in perilious times and need to make the most of every moment that God has given to us. One of the ways that we make the most of every moment is to find time together as a family to read God's Word, even while we are on the road. Family devotions has been one of Marlin's priorities since God has turned his heart toward his family. Truly, therein lies the hope for our nation. There is no stimulus package, no president, no organization, or even church program that can change our nation. Our only hope is that "He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." Malachi 4:6
Here's a little update on our life on the road. In the past 12 days, we have been in 8 states, sang in 8 churches, and in 2 prisons. But not all our time has been spent singing and traveling; there has been time for playing ball with friends, going on walks, having a picnic at a beautiful lookout in Tennessee, spending time with friends, and talking with our children.
Will Hudson make that basket?
We spent an evening with some new friends in Tennessee.
This football travels with us so that the boys (and sometimes the girls) can play football in a park, a gas station parking lot, or at Wal-mart.
Elizabeth plays doll with her new friend.
Our friend, Anna, joined us in Tennessee and has been staying with Hudson and Rebecca while the rest of us go into in prisons.
We are so blessed to have the opportunity to freely share God's Word in music and word.
On this tour, Joshua made his debut on the dobro
"Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with longsuffering and doctrine." ~2 Timothy 4:2~
