After trying at least 3 times to post with a picture, I am giving up on that for now. Does anyone know why the pictures that I try to post keep downloading as a jumble of letters and symbols?
Anyway, we arrived home at 1:30 on Wednesday home. We were so happy to see our beloved farm again. We have been snowed under (sorry, I just couldn't resist the pun!!) with laundry, cleaning out the bus, putting things away, and numerous farm chores. For some of us (we won't mention any names:)) the ajustment to the real world of daily chores, etc. has been a rough landing while the rest of us are truly enjoying the challenges and energy it takes to do real physical labour again.
At our house the vision to memorize Scripture has been renewed. I think singing "I Pledge Allegiance" about 25 times in the past month has something to do with it. Whether or not we ever face persecution here in America, it is very important to hide God's Word in our hearts. "They word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105 We have learned a lot of Scripture passages by simply repeating verses together. Does anyone else want to share how they have memorized Scripture? Our goal is to review the Scriptures we have learned by reciting one passage together at each mealtime.
We are also trying to do extra Math and Language lessons to make up for the last month! We found that it was very challenging to keep up with our school lessons on the road, however; we found that there were many other lessons learned in a bus and on the road that couldn't be learned at home.
Again, thanks for your prayers while we were gone. I will keep trying to post pictures!
