Greetings From the Sunny South

Good-morning! Just want to give all of you a quick update on what is happening in our travels. We left IA on February 2 (Saturday). So far we have sang at 3 churches and 1 prison, traveled through 8 states, ate 9 meals on the bus, spent 1 day at the Creation Science Museum in KY, experienced some gracious southern hospitality with the Richesins in Tennessee, burned a hole in the bus carpet with our "stove top" (a hot burner from Wal-mart that takes approximately 20 minutes to boil a few cups of water!!), heard the words "Watch the Fridge!" at least 50 times (interpreted as hold the freezer door closed while our trustworthy driver maneurvers the hilly curves of Tennesse, NC, and SC), got stuck, drained the battery of the bus by leaving the lights on all night (we won't mention any names!), dumped about 20 oz. of shampoo in our bathroom, were blessed with our first GPS (thank-you so much, Pastor Sommers), went barefoot for the first time in 2008, and met many wonderful people. But most importantly, we have seen God work in the hearts of people. Thanks so much for your prayers!
We hope to post pictures as we figure out our new laptop and have internet access.
Here is a verse that I have been thinking about recently: "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:16 What have you done for the kingdom of God today? Is He glorified by your thoughts, words, and daily activities? Make the most of every moment!

We are all looking forward to hearing all about your adventure. Hope the package arrived in time. The weather caused us a delay.
